Breakthrough K9 Training

Puppy Foundations

Our Puppy Foundations program is the perfect first step for setting your puppy up for a lifetime of success. Early training is one of the most important investments you can make in your dog’s future, as this stage shapes how they think, learn, and behave as adults.

In this program, we focus on building a strong obedience foundation while also preventing the development of problem behaviors. Your puppy will learn essential skills such as sit, down, place, recall, crate training, and loose-leash walking. We also address common puppy challenges like nipping, jumping, and housebreaking, ensuring that you feel confident managing your puppy at home and in public.

Unlike large, impersonal classes, our small group format ensures that each puppy receives personalized attention. Training takes place in a supportive, structured environment where your puppy can practice calmness and focus around other dogs and people. In addition to structured obedience, your puppy will be safely exposed to new sights, sounds, and environments, helping them build resilience and confidence that will serve them throughout their life.

The Puppy Foundations program is designed to do more than teach commands — it strengthens the bond between you and your puppy while shaping their mindset for long-term success. By the end of the program, you’ll have the tools and knowledge to continue guiding your puppy’s development, while your puppy will have the obedience, confidence, and adaptability needed to thrive in everyday life.
