Aggressive behaviours, whether directed toward humans or other dogs, require specialized attention and tailored training. Dogs displaying aggression or other severe behavioural concerns need an individualized approach to effectively address and modify these behaviours. Our Aggression & Specialized Behaviour Modification program is designed to provide owners and their dogs with the right knowledge and tools they need to make lasting behavioural changes in both controlled and public settings.
Whether your dog is displaying fear-based aggression, territorial aggression, or is reactive toward other dogs or humans, our program focuses on modifying these behaviours through a combination of controlled training, real-world exposure, and continued support.
The primary focus of this specialized program is to:
- Assess the root cause of the aggression or behavioural issue
- Modify aggression-related behaviours (fear, anxiety, territoriality, reactivity, etc.)
- Increase socialization skills in both controlled environments and public spaces
- Teach impulse control and proper social interaction with humans and other dogs
- Desensitize and counter-condition triggers that provoke aggressive reactions
- Increase overall obedience and communication, creating a more balanced and well-behaved dog
This program combines behaviour modification techniques with obedience training to address both the cause and manifestation of aggressive behaviour. We also offer controlled socialization opportunities to expose your dog to real-world environments.
The Aggression & Specialized Behaviour Modification program is an extension of our “Breakthroughs for Life” program. As part of this add-on, your dog will receive 4 additional private lessons specifically designed to address aggressive behaviours and reinforce the training progress made. These one-on-one sessions focus on your dog’s individual needs, providing ongoing support and helping ensure lasting success as your dog transitions from the training environment to daily life.
Total program cost: $1500 plus HST
